Q: What is a Combo class and how does it work?
A: A Combo Class is a combination of diffrent dance styles . Rather than charge for each dance style individually, Our school teaches a variety of dance styles at less than half the cost. Each week your child will take class and in the Spring for their final show will perfom each style of dance from the combo class they are registered for.
Q: Why are our classes so affordable?
A: Our school is dedicated to teaching dance to children, teens and adults within the community and making dance accessible to ALL!
Our prices are NOT a reflection of our quality of teaching but raher the love and dediction of dance and the need for the arts within the community we teach.
Q: Are parents allowed in the class?
A: No, parents are not allowed in the class. We will have an open house as well as a winter showcase fundraiser and Spring recical to showcase the progress and talent of all the students.
L.De. Dance School is committed to providing access to our dance classes for everyone. It is our policy to help families find a way in which to participate in our programs. We offer a variety of financial assistance plans, need-based scholarships, and talent-based (merit) scholarships for our dance school. Anyone wishing to apply for financial aid or need-based scholarships must do so at the time of registration. Anyone wishing to audition for a talent-based (merit) scholarship should register early (prior to October) since auditions must be scheduled.
Based on financial need, each dance class has a limited number of partial and full scholarships for which new and returning students may apply. Applications at time of registration must be accompanied by proof of income that includes one or more of the following:
1. Two most recent pay check stubs
2. Public assistance verification letter
Some parents may not qualify for financial aid on the above criteria, but may still find the tuition to be out of their reach. In such cases, parents (18yrs or older) are designated to handle specific work assignments that provide operational support for L. De. Dance School's daily activities. Filing, front desk reception, typing, or student wait area supervision to name a few. In exchange for work performed, tuition is reduced by an amount commensurate with its value. Work exchange is only limited to 5 positions a year, so apply early!
A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available. These scholarships are based on individual talents, and are thus highly competitive requiring auditions.
